My name is Adam Bishop; I am currently working on my Masters for my initial childhood certification degree at SUNY Oswego. I received a Bachelors of Science degree in educational studies from Keuka College in 2007. In ninth grade, I decided I wanted to change children’s lives for the better. My earth science teacher told me teaching would be a great profession for me and that is what I have been working towards since. I have worked very hard in the past to get good grades. I want to teach children so they can be a benefit to their self and the community around them.
I am a very caring and nice person who wants to help everyone. I feel that this is an important attribute to an effective teacher. I want to encourage them to do their best at everything they do this is an attribute that I have learned myself from coaching young children in my community. I have overcome a learning disability all of my life and would love to help children get past their own difficulties in learning.
In the next five years, I see myself working in a small community helping children the best I can and coaching soccer or baseball. I want to be an effective teacher who allows all children to excel at their own pace.
